Dr. Stanley G. grew up in a project building on the south side of Chicago where he spent many days playing chess, pitching pennies and dodging street gangs. His original career goal was to become a graphic artist but he pleaded temporary insanity and joined the Marine Corps instead.

Dr. Stanley G. grew up in a project building on the south side of Chicago where he spent many days playing chess, pitching pennies and dodging street gangs. His original career goal was to become a graphic artist but he pleaded temporary insanity and joined the Marine Corps instead. He considered that when plan A fails, you’ve still got 25 letters left in the alphabet; so he traded in the life of a devil dog for the life of a suit. Somewhere through the middle of the alphabet, he trained as a lawyer, then as a doctor of accounting. As one might reasonably conclude from all this alphabet soup, he finally ended up as an author.
